Job purpose

Participate in the development of advanced launch vehicle and missile Modeling and Simulation (M&S) applications. Primary tasking will focus on the development, modification, and analysis of aerospace vehicle systems using 6 Degree of Freedom (6DoF) simulations. Preferred candidates will also possess the ability to develop advanced 3D visualizations utilizing open-source toolkits to visualize simulation data in 3D environments.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Work within a team of 4-6 engineers to integrate and test algorithms implementation
  • Maintain and develop documentation of model implementation, processes, methodologies, and associated material necessary for other team members to replicate
  • Develop & present briefings to senior engineers, customers, and peers on tasking status and analysis results
  • Simulation developer will support Agile development activities
  • Contribute to software development, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and integration activities as well as other infrastructure-related duties as assigned.




Education: BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.


Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in programming in one or more of the following languages and operating systems: Python, C++, MATLAB/Simulink, Windows 10, Linux
  • Experience with data modeling and other MBSE tools/techniques
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to convey technical ideas in a clear, logical fashion, and to translate highly technical discussions into executable plans
  • Experience with aerospace simulations, launch & space vehicle modeling and simulation (M&S)
  • Experience with the Agile software development process
  • Knowledge of and ability to integrate physics-based models into digital simulations and perform regression testing of model integration
  • Willingness to learn/develop new processes and procedures and discipline to follow established procedures
